HW for Monday, 11/12

Draft 2 of your Cinderella story is due tomorrow.

Catfish, Nahom, Maesun, Emani -- use thee peer edits we did in class today.  Tomorrow you will turn in the first draft, the worksheet, and the second draft, all together.

Ariel, Raemiesha, Rakicia, Danielle -- click here and ask someone at home or a peer to fill out this sheet/edit your story.  Tomorrow you will turn in the first draft, the worksheet, and the second draft, all together.

Remember, you lose 10 points for every day a draft is late.  If you don't have your first draft tomorrow, then, you will lose 20 points on that and 10 points on your 2nd draft.

HW for Thursday, 11/8

Cinderella, Cinderella . . .

While keeping in mind the essential plot elements we've been studying (and referring often back to your chart, which we'll fill out in class), write your own Cinderella story with a new setting. You might imagine a skateboarding Cinderella, a hip-hop Cinderella, a high-fashion Cinderella, a science-fiction Cinderella, and so on. Pay attention to the ways in which the plot must change along with the setting. 

The first draft is due Monday.  It must . . .

1) follow the formatting guidelines

2) be at least 500 words long

3) be shared with me through googledocs (my email is ngedutis@gmail.com)

We will peer-edit the stories on Monday, so if you do not have the first draft, you will not be able to participate in class and therefore won't be allowed in the room.  You will lose a letter grade for every day that the story is late.
